For 2 winters (2008-10) I took a short time out from my career here in the UK to go and work as a ski guide in the French Alps, something I had been wishing to do for many years.

I met many British holidaymakers in that time and I have to say I was amazed by how many of them were failing to make any preparations for the physical requirements of a skiing or snowboarding holiday. Having some skiing fitness apart from obviously allowing you more time on the slopes equals so much more enjoyment and acts as a safety net where injuries are concerned.

I found many of my companies guests showing signs of physical fatigue as early as lunchtime on the first day of their holiday, purely due to a lack of preparation before they left home. So combining my work as a Personal Trainer with experiences in the Alps, I work closely with either individuals or groups who wish to gain some sort of fitness and preparation for their annual winter sports holidays.

In a 1-2-1 capacity or by taking part in my group training classes a specific programme will allow you to spend as much time on the snow as you could wish for.
